Everytime i watch a movie i play a game called what would happen next In this case: There are a bunch of people that didn't return from their trips. So their families would get concerned after a while and call the police. Police would then check the phone positions via standard procedure and see, that they all sent the last signals from the exact same location. Police would obviously consider this a strong lead and call the swedish police - which would then check out the place. They would find a burned down barn with human remains and two of the missing people still alive and living amongst the community. And thus the community ends. Turns out a sacrificial ritual, that was last performed 90 years ago isn't as easy to get away with nowadays.

I feel as though being black makes you very aware of facist/ racist ideologies no matter how subtle they are, as it is life for us. I immediately felt uncomfortable for Josh and Simon who were the only black bodies in a space where there were only white people. Of course the broken girl (dani) falls into the trap the charismatic cult coax her into, cults thrive off of people like dani - alone and upset. The ending is deeply disturbing but realistic in showing us how easy it is for people to feel the need to join a cult (masked as a community/family) just to feel some warmth.
